GLBT Democrats of Suffolk County

This is the official website for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Democrats of Suffolk County, formerly Gay Democrats of Suffolk County.. We exist as a charter from the Suffolk County Democratic Committee - the Honorable Richard H. Schaffer Chair, and as such we act as a liaison between our community and the Democratic Party in Suffolk County.   

We are a local chapter of The National Stonewall Democrats

  This group is dedicated to carrying out the ideals and significant agenda for equality, equity and tolerance towards all gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and allianced community members within Suffolk County, New York.                             

We interview and endorse Democratic Candidates who hold our agenda seriously.

    We empower our members to address and educate the surrounding community and the Democratic Party about GLBT issues and the need for justice and equitable standards for our society.

Our general membership usually meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month at

Membership is open to any registered Democrat in Suffolk County who supports the goals and principles of the group. There is a $30 annual membership fee.
